Starting out.

Since starting a business is so time consuming I haven’t had much time to blog (or collect my thoughts).

Everything has gone very quickly since the idea dawned on me and not everything has gone according to plan. At first this really bothered me but I eventually realised that these things are always going to happen and despite my many attempts I cannot control the universe. All this being said, I have managed to open and have made a sale already (which I am very excited about).

What’s going around in my head is probably the same for all start up businesses, things like, am I good enough?, will people like what I’ve made?, will anyone buy anything from me? are just a few and of course there is always the fear of a bad review. All this could make me want to give up before I’ve even really started but having read many articles and blogs on the subject, perseverance seems to be the key to success. Although of course its always going to help if you have pots of cash for marketing and social media gurus etc. I think the key is to start small and aim for your products to be as good as they possibly can be.

It’s very early days for me but I do hope that one day I will be able to update you and rave about how fantastically successful I have become. Well here’s hoping anyway! Until that day I will struggle on without pots of cash and experts organising my every move and will let you know how I’m getting on, whether well or not so well.
